...been listening to a lot of Janis Joplin again. I haven't been since my "hippie/rock/skater" phase in early 7th grade, when I cruised around on longboards, smiley faceas and daisies were everywhere and i sewed fabric into all my jeans to extend them to bellbottoms.... oh goodness. I'll have to find a photo to post- (note to self: post a Bitsy timeline blog soon)
I forgot how much I loved her. You know when you have those moments when you hear a song, or see a piece of art, or read a poem/novel and it's like the artist took it right from your soul? Every one of her lyrics feels like that to me.
It's such a refreshment to have that in your life.
Today I'm getting my Wicked Witch outfit together for Kitti's (cristi as some of you call her haha) Oz themed birthday tonight :) I love being wicked for a change... hopefully there will be no drink spillage tonight- I don't want to be melting- I have a performance tommorrow!
